Keeping up to date with current professional learning developments for dedicated relief teachers can come with challenges. In 2018 the AEU SA launch a new series of TRT specific workshops looking at industrial and professional matters for teachers who are choosing to work as casual relief teachers.
These workshops have been mapped against the following Australian Professional Standards for Teachers:
7. Engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the community
7.2 Comply with legislative, administrative and organisational requirements
7. 4 Engage with professional teaching networks and broader communities
