 Full membership of the Australian Education Union is open to:

• Leaders and Teachers in government schools and preschools or kindergartens
• Seconded Teachers
• Aboriginal Education Workers
• Early Childhood Workers
• School Services Officers
• Swimming and Aquatic Instructors
• TAFE Act employees
• Hourly Paid Instructors

Associate membership of the Australian Education Union is open to:

• Students training to be a teacher
