Summary:

Join us for a real life exploration of Gay Straight Alliances (GSA) in schools. From GSA set up, to invitations, inclusions, facing challenges and keeping up momentum we explore the difference these alliances can make in the lives of young people.

Are schools really safe places in Australia? An international comparison of policies and strategies that support same-sex attracted and gender-diverse students Michelle McCormack.

Our format will include real life examples from AEU members and discussion in breakout groups to expand your questions, ideas and experiences.

This event has been mapped against the following Australia Professional Standards for Teachers:
