Every School Every Child logoEvery School Every Child:
South Australian campaign

Nationally, the Australian Education Union has launched the Every School Every Child campaign in 2021 to focus on Federal school funding issues in the lead up to the Federal election.

You can discover more about the federal campaign at: www.everyschooleverychild.org.au.

The South Australian Branch of the AEU has embraced this campaign, and incorporated our campaign objectives for the State election in March 2022.

In July we launch our Community Platform, developed by a roundtable of community groups and professional organisations, setting out our requests on all political parties, State and Federal, for improvements to the delivery of student support in our schools and preschools.

We are also circulating a Petition to State Parliament calling for urgent action on waiting times for student support services.

SA campaign launched

The Every School Every Child campaign in South Australia was launched on Sunday 18 July 2021 at a media conference at the Quentin Kenihan Inclusive Playspace (Murlawirrapurka/Rymill Park, Adelaide).

Many members joined AEU SA Branch President Lara Golding for the launch to show politicians of all political parties that we are going to campaign actively over the next 7 months for more support for children and students.

Speakers included Jenice Zerner, President of the South Australian Association of School Parent Communities, and Federal AEU President Correna Haythorpe.

Results from our Student Support Survey this year of more than 1000 public school and preschool teachers, principals and support staff were presented, and were also outlined in our media release .
