Formal Disciplinary or Performance Meetings: Your Rights
It is important that as an AEU member, you understand and exercise your rights when a Principal/Director or other site leader requests a formal meeting with you. If the meeting is outside of normal site operations, the established Performance Development Plan (PDP) process, or if you receive written instructions to attend a meeting with a leader, it is important to clarify the purpose of the meeting. If the meeting could result in disciplinary action or counselling, or lead to a determination of incapacity or unsatisfactory performance, you should act with caution as there is a risk of an adverse outcome that could have a detrimental impact on your career.
