Summary:

Sites are being asked to transition to online learning quickly.

This session will focus on suggestions regarding technology and programs as well as pedagogy and methodology in the online space.

Two AEU members working at Open Access college will share their experiences comparing face to face teaching and online teaching as well as offering tips and advice that have worked for them.

This session is provided as food for thought and to spark ideas and questions as to what it is you and your students need in the coming weeks. We thank the AEU SA members who have volunteered their time to provide this information.

This session does not negate employer responsibility to provide resources for public education staff to be able to teach students. AEU members will continue to have Sub Branch conversations regarding the employer’s responsibility to provide support in the workplace (including online).

This workshop has been mapped against the following Australian Professional Standards for Teachers:

3.3 Use teaching strategies
3.4 Select and use resources
