It is a requirement that teachers include First Nations perspectives within the curriculum. However, including First Nations perspectives within a colonial education system necessarily causes ethical and pedagogical conflicts.
Additional information
This session will explore the education systems and societal assumptions that underpin the current approach to curriculum formation. The session offers a starting point to begin working toward engaging with First Nations perspectives authentically as an educator.
