The aims of the workshops are to:
• Facilitate awareness raising in preschools about the issues for families and students.
• Support the development of regional networks.
The workshops will cover:
• Understanding gender diversity and sexual diversity
• Australian statistics including prevalence of homophobia and transphobia and impact on students and families mental health, wellbeing and educational outcomes
• Strategies for creating safe and inclusive preschools
• Resource audit (inclusivity)
• Supporting transgender students
• Unconscious bias 

These workshops have been mapped against the following Australian Professional Standards for Teachers:

4.1 Support student participation
4.4 Maintain student safety 
7.4 Engage with professional teaching networks and broader communities
