We know the importance of Early Childhood education – why can’t they staff it and fund it properly!?!

Join us to discuss how AEU member power can make a difference to moving negotiators and politicians forward on increased levels of job security and ongoing levels of funding. But we need more – and our children need it now!

This spotlight seminar will look at hot issues in the early childhood sector – and we look forward to hearing from you.

Open to:

AEU Members working in (or seeking work in) stand alone an school based preschools.
Country members can access this session via Facebook Live.

Aim:

To bring together members working in preschool settings to discuss contemporary issues and campaigns.

Objectives:

  • Update members on current Enterprise bargaining efforts for the Early Childhood Sector (including secure employment for ECWs, Teachers and Directors on contract)
  • Explore the “Preschool funding – a lifetime of value” early childhood education campaign
  • Discuss ways members can activate and raise awareness within the education sector and community.
This workshop has been mapped against the following Australian Professional Standards for Teachers

7.4 Engage with professional teaching networks and broader communities.
