Summary - Aboriginal Teachers and Leaders Conference
First Nations teachers and leaders working in the Department for Education are invited to join us for our inaugural Aboriginal Teachers and Leaders conference.

Goals: 
1. Build professional learning space for Aboriginal Teachers and build leadership connections.
2. Sharing inter and intrastate ideas to celebrate and further successful First Nations teaching practice.

Keynote Speakers:
- Dr Aleryk Fricker: Dja Dja Wurrung man, educator and researcher focused on ways to decolonise education at Deakin University
- Dyonne Anderson and Deb Fairey: National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Principals Association
- Corey Tutt OAM: Deadly Science Founder

Join us of our annual Aboriginal Members Conference.
On the day AEU SA members will work together to showcase union values, share information and connect with one another through their work in public education.

Goals:
1. Build relationships and wellbeing
2. Build relationship between members and their AEU
3. Consider Indigenous relationships worldwide

Workshops (preselection required when registering)

1. Indigenous challenges and triumphs from around the world. An update from the WIPCE conference
2. AEW hot topics - workload definitions, transfer, top pay increment and recruitment and selection
3. Superannuation - Why it’s important to know about superannuation as it's your savings

Keynote Speakers
- Aunty Rosemary Wanganeen: Healing Centre for Griefology
- Lara Watson: Indigenous Officer at Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU)
