This session will share information with AEU members and provide participants with an opportunity for a conversation about concerns, challenges and application process tips.

The Department for Education (SA) has decided to overhaul the application process for upcoming teaching vacancies related to ongoing 2022 positions in schools due to the exceptional circumstances of the move of year 7s to high school.

Hundreds of secondary jobs (and a few specific primary positions) will be advertised early in Term 2 2021 for positions in 2022.

This new process involves multiple new steps, using an external private provider for a written and video component as well as changes to the “personal statement” process that has been used for the last few years.

Any AEU member considering applying for a position is welcome to attend to reinforce your knowledge and consider new perspectives

This workshop has been mapped against the following Australian Professional Standards for Teachers:

7.2 Comply with legislative, administrative and organisational requirements
