AEU Annual Women’s Conference

Open to all women members of the AEU.

As women and professionals we must be respected and valued. A professional conference for women members with a focus on celebrating the power of women and girls to become agents of positive change in their communities and schools.  A fantastic networking opportunity with both union and professional engagement.

This years conference will start on Friday night the 15th of June at 7 pm, with the movie: Made in Dagenham
This dramatization of the 1968 strike at the Ford Dagenham machine plant, where 850 female workers walked out in protest against sexual discrimination and unequal pay is the perfect way for us to start a conference about demanding RESPECT.  The main character, Rita O'Grady (Golden Globe® winner Sally Hawkins) leads her female co-workers in a struggle for rights, RESPECT and equal pay that will change the "man's world" forever. Based on a true story.

Keynote speaker at the conference on Saturday the 16th of June: Clare Lindop; retiring veteran jockey of 20 years.
