Managing Movement, Noise and Collaboration
Part of the AEU SA Support Staff Week learning series. In this session an experienced teacher will share five activities that occur in their classroom, in which students are actively collaborating (and maybe noisily) in a safe and controlled manner and learning is occurring.
A quiet classroom is not always a classroom in which learning is optimal. Collaboration between students in the classroom has been demonstrated to improve learning outcomes. Collaboration requires activity and movement and will involve noise. In this session an experienced teacher will share five activities that occur in their classroom, in which students are actively collaborating (and maybe noisily) in a safe and controlled manner and learning is occurring. The presenter of the course is a secondary teacher.
