Online professional learning including practical examples of teaching techniques and adaptations to the classroom environment for students with ASD

Students with ASD frequently have sensory processing issues, meaning that they have difficulty managing sensory input e.g. sound, touch. In this session, the presenter an experienced special education teacher, will explore how students with ASD might be impacted by sensory processing issues and how that might manifest in your classroom. There are well researched and tested approaches that can be implemented in the classroom to assist students to manage these difficulties. The session will include practical examples of the teaching techniques, adaptations to the classroom environment and the resources that can be used to assist students and enhance learning for all.
