RC into Early Childhood Education & Care Consultations
The Australian Education Union (SA Branch) invites you or a representative from your site to attend one of our upcoming Royal Commission into Early Childhood Education & Care consultation sessions.
Register Here
Summary
In 2022, the South Australian Labor Government established the Royal Commission into Early Childhood Education and Care, led by former Prime Minister of Australia, Hon Julia Gillard AC.
One of the key considerations for the Commission is universal preschool for three and four year olds and how this would be undertaken.
As part of this process, the Commission wants to hear from experts in early childhood development, service providers for children in the first 1000 days of their life, leaders in South Australian preschools, and unions representing those working in early childhood education and care.
To ensure your voice is heard, we will be facilitating discussions at locations around the state. This consultation will form the basis for our submission to the Royal Commission into Early Childhood Education, which is due by 28 February 2023.
This is an important opportunity for early childhood educators and leaders to have their say on those aspects of early learning that should be maintained and those which need to change.
