A four day training on classroom management and engagement strategies

What is it?

This four day intensive face to face hands on training uses classroom management strategies that have proven to be effective time and time again. 
Skilled classroom teachers share the strategies that work for them to engage students in effective learning and assist them in managing their classroom.
You will need to enrol in all four days and the skills you learn will be able to be used in a variety of settings.

Day 1: Wednesday 15 April 2020, 09:15am to 3:30pm
Day 2: Thursday 16 April 2020, 09:15am to 3:30pm

Day 3: Monday 6 July 2020, 09:15am to 3:30pm
Day 4: Tuesday 7 July 2020, 09:15am to 1.00pm + (optional) lunch

Aim:

To develop the knowledge and skills of classroom teachers in direct relation to classroom management and student engagement practices.

Objectives:

  • Improve student engagement through cooperative learning and accountability activities.
  • Improve teaching practice in relation to classroom management via consideration of choices, 'bumps' and reactions and responses to power actions.
This workshop has been mapped against the following Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
