The AEU works to assist student teachers in managing the transition from study to work in the public education sector. As a student member of the AEU you can access a range of training and professional development that will put you in good stead for your future as an educator in preschools and schools.
Membership of the AEU is only $22 per annum for student members and this entitles you to free access to a range of courses, including Responding to Abuse and Neglect Training (Mandatory Notification Training). Completion of this course is a basic requirement of the Department for Education and Child Development (DECD) for all registered teachers.
Final year student members can get a head start with free 1 year access to Curriculum Organiser Online (COO). COO is the AEU's teacher planning software Curriculum Organiser Online containing scope and sequence, classroom teacher prepared sample units of work, hyperlinked online resources, Skootle materials, weblinks and IWB collated resources for Australian Curriculum and SACSA.
