The AEU has been successfully arbitrated for a new PSD 4 level classification for Preschool Directors in a number of our more complex sites.

Of the more than 50 PSD 3 centres, 26 were elevated to PSD 4 from 1 April 2010, providing a salary increase of more than $5500 for those directors. The Industrial Relations Commission (SA) determined that integrated centres offering preschool and a range of long-day care programs, including Children's Centres for Early Childhood Development and Parenting and rural integrated centres, would be eligible for the new classification.
