The Hon. Jay Weatherill, Minister for Education and Correna Haythorpe, President, AEU SA Branch will have a conversation around the concepts of Freedom and Authority. This twilight session revisits the idea of 'Freedom and Authority in schools' first expressed by Dr Alby Jones in his 1970 Memorandum to Principals. These two concepts underpin a number of major Federal and State changes in education which are currently being imposed or introduced. |
