Details:

Physical intervention can be a delicate issue in schools. There are times when teachers may need to break up fights, re-direct students at high risk or  avoid potential assault. This course skills principals to safely disengage from potentially violent situations.

The AEU is trialing this course to gain feedback from our member principals about whether the course should be included in our professional development program. The course is being run by an organisation called Maybo Safer Children, an international specialist consultancy in dealing with external client conflict.  This workshop is highly interactive and is based on using the lowest level of response possible in order to safely resolve or contain an actual or potentially dangerous situation. Participants receive a workbook.
