Gonski Review

For the first time since 1973, the Federal Government has conducted a review of federal funding for Australian schools. The review was carried out by businessman David Gonski and, thanks to a concerted AEU campaign, has resulted in the tabling on legislation in Federal Parliament.
The Gillard Federal Government has recently announced that they are fully committed to implementing the Gonski recommendations but the legislation needs the backing of the States to become law.
You can encourage your state premier to commit financially Gonski via this link.
