A one day course on handling conflict, negotiation skills and resolving issues effectively through the PAC. The course will be based on a "PAC Simulation Exercise" to provide participants with an opportunity to put their understanding of the PAC to the test.

Presenter/facilitator, Barry Welch, ex principal and QUT organiser developed this course to focus on a more interactive model of training with an emphasis on activity based learning. It is essential that participants complete the pre-course requirements which are designed to form an important component of the program on the day.

Prior to the course, participants will need to undertake to:

• Read the DECD/ AEU  PAC Handbook 2011
• Complete two activities - My Reaction to Disagreement and Conflict and Eight Critical Mistakes
• Read an article
