A one day professional interactive workshop held in the school holidays to support AEU members who are working at making our schools safe for LGBTI staff and the broader Gay community.

Theme: “Coming out the Woodwork - You can find community here!"

 

Session 1 - Being out in public life - Panel

Panel presentation with engagement of participants (Q&A). Small group sharing 

Session 2 - Stories from the field

Anne Walker, AEU SA Branch Legal Officer and David Wynne, NSWTF, NSW 

Forum with engagement of participants (Q&A). Small groups sharing. 

Session 3 - Developing recommendations for change
Members develop draft recommendations to improve safety and equality in employment conditions in DECD worksites. 

Come to our pre workshop evening social networking activity!
6.00pm-7.00pm Tuesday 16 July 2013 at  Earl of Leicester, finger food (provided) and drinks (purchase from the bar). Members are free. Non-members are encouraged to attend the social activity for $20, payable on the evening.
