Details:

A one day conference to share the contribution of educators working towards
Reconciliation and a just Australian society. The theme for this year is "Let's Talk Recognition: Demonstrating Commitment through Teaching and Learning".

Bernadette Atkinson from Monash University will present the keynote address. Bernadette will explore the particular National Professional Standards for Teachers which relate to respecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and promoting Reconciliation.

Keith Bartley, CE DECD and David Smith , Vice President,AEU SA Branch will each make a Statement of Commitment to Reconciliation.Workshops will feature units of work based on the Australian Curriculum.

As DECD has jointly funded this conference, enabling educators to be released from their sites.Relief funding for DECD participants will be provided  by sites invoicing the AEU SA Branch for the cost of the relief staff.
