Statewide meetings scheduled as ballot announced
On Saturday 28 May AEU Branch Council considered the process to be adopted in determining an AEU position on the proposed new DECS Teacher Recruitment and Selection Policy and Procedures.
Branch Council resolved:
That the AEU convene metropolitan and regional member information meetings prior to a state-wide membership ballot to determine acceptance or rejection of the DECS draft ‘Teacher Recruitment and Selection Policy 2011’ and ‘Procedures for the Recruitment & Selection of Teaching Staff in Schools 2011’.
That the membership ballot be concluded by Friday 17 June 2011.
