Each year SA Unions conducts the Anna Stewart Memorial Project, a two-week training program specifically for women. It is designed to give women an insight into how unions operate and how they themselves can be more active within their own union.
The program is combines training on industrial and women's issues with the opportunity to spend time at the AEU and other participating unions.
The AEU encourages women members, particularly Aboriginal women, to apply for the opportunity to take part in this project in 2012. The two-week program will run from the 21 May - 1 June 2012 (Week 4 and 5 of Term 2) and the AEU will fully fund two successful participants.
