Not receiving your non-contact time? Call the AEU.
19-09-2011Workload discussions are in full flight at the AEU following the recent survey of teachers and leaders work. The survey was part of the review of workload ordered by the SA Industrial Commission. Hopefully you and the other AEU members at your worksite participated in the survey.
Receiving your entitlement?
We know that new teachers work extremely long hours to learn their craft; this is why we fought for increased non-contact time for all first year teachers in our Arbitrated Enterprise Bargaining Award.
If you're not receiving your non-contact time entitlement please let the AEU know by calling the Information Unit on 8272 1399.
All calls to the Information Unit are confidential and action is only taken if you request it.
If you are receiving your non-contact time and have a spare minute, please email Sam Lisle-Menzel: slislemenzel@aeusa.asn.au and tell her how it has helped you in the first year of your career.
